Commercial Pilot License Course (The second big step)
Before starting the CPL course the applicant must meet the following requirements:
A personal interview with the school director/administrator prior to acceptance. High school graduates or holders of a Grade 12 high school equivalency certificate 18 years of min. age before completing the course (May start earlier than age 18) Complete and submit a school registration/application form indicating source of funding for cost of the course and related expenses.(family, student loan, self.) Applicants shall provide a medical certificate (where applicable) completed by a licensed physician which certifies the applicant to be in good health, free from communicable disease and fit to undertake training. Class 1 Medical clearance by an approved physician is required before completion date of this course.
Our Commercial Pilot License course includes budget for more hours than just the minimum requirement as national average is usually greater. The r,equired supervised ground school set by Transport Canada for the Commercial Pilot License course is 80 hours incl. all ground briefings. The Commercial Pilot License course teaches an advanced version of the topics covered in Private Pilot License course along with an additional section regarding licensing requirements. Approximate duration for the CPL Course (after the PPL is issued) is 4 months for full time students. To avoid complications, all foreign students must get a visa for a duration longer than six months. Our academy is a registered member No. 3539 with Private Career Training Institution Agency of British Columbia commonly know as PCTIA. Following are the costs for Aircraft rental, additional time bulding, materials and services in addition to the above chart of tution fees based on Transport Canada minimum hours. These figures are a reasonable budget based on industry wide averages. Actual cost may vary for each student.

Note: Cost shown above is based on the Canadian Average of all successful students. Most Airlines require the above as min. hours for those seeking Pilot as a Career. Student has the choice of lesser hours for the contract and the saved hours/charges can be credited to other related courses or contrcats. Aircraft used for above chart of costs is Cessna 150/152 or equivalent. Subject to availably the Student shall have the option to upgrade for the general cost difference at the time. Please also note that bylaws and regulations of the Private Career Training Institute Agency (PCTIA) relate to the tuition fee portion for the Commercial Pilot, Instrument Rating and Multi-Engine rating courses.
